Incompatibility Issues

The current version of SAS has compatibility issues with Windows XP Media edition and Windows Vista Home edition.

The SAS License is available free of charge to Texas A&M Students. There is a form that needs to be filled out before the student can get the software. This license allows the student to install it on a personal computer.

Please fill out the SAS Student Agreement if you would like to get a copy of the SAS Software. Please note that you must provide blank media to obtain a copy of the software. It takes 1 DVD for SAS 9.2 for Windows, or 10 CDs for SAS 9.1.3 for Windows, or version, and 1 for the Macintosh.

Description of Software

SAS 9.2 for Windows

Requires Windows XP or Vista.
SAS 9.2 requires 1 DVD.

SAS 9.1.3 for Windows

Requires Windows XP or Vista.
SAS 9.1.3 requires 10 CDs. At the moment, we do not have copies of 9.1.3 available for loan; if you wish to use 9.1.3, you must provide 10 blank CDs.

SAS 6.12 for Mac

Requires PowerMac.
Cd format only. Requires 1 CD.

Renewing a License

User must get password from SELL by filling out another agreement. Re-installation is not required unless the user needs a newer version than the one they currently have.
